Starting May 2, 2023,

The Jordanian Medical Council announces the mechanism for exemption from the Jordanian Board exam for foreign specialty holders.

Application requirements:

- The physician must be of Jordanian nationality (holding a national ID number).
- The physician must have trained under a graduated and accredited training program in the medical institution where they were trained.
- The physician must have passed the specialty exam in the country where they were trained.
- The physician must hold a valid license to practice their specialty in the country where they were trained.
- The license to practice their profession must be valid for a continuous period of three years, during which the physician practiced their specialty in the same country that issued the license.

Required documents:
1) Copy of personal ID or permanent passport.
2) High school certificate certified by the Ministry of Education.
3) Bachelor's degree (first medical degree) and certificate equivalency for non-Jordanian graduates, certified by the Ministry of Higher Education.
4) Valid specialty certificate certified as per the originals.
5) Valid specialty training certificate certified as per the originals.
6) A certificate proving work experience for no less than three continuous years in a medical institution in the physician's specialty in the country where they were trained and received the highest certificate in their specialty.
7) A certificate proving that the license to practice their profession was valid for no less than three continuous years.
8) A document proving that the physician was a resident in the country where they received the highest certificate in their specialty throughout the training period.

- The committee specified in the instructions will verify the certificates submitted by the physician in accordance with the laws and regulations at the physician's expense.

Application procedure:

1- Fill out the application form for exemption from the Jordanian Medical Council exam for foreign specialty certificates by visiting the following link:

2- Submit the certified certificates and documents to the Jordanian Medical Council Secretariat.

3- Pay the application processing fees and medical license fees if approved.
